WILL SOFAPAKA IMPROVE IN THE CONFEDERATIONS CUP RETURN LEG?

Kenyan based football club Sofapaka were on the receiving end when they lost 2-1 to Platinum of Zimbabwe in the first leg of the Confederations cup. However, Sofapaka head coach Sam Timbe remains confident that all is not lost and that his boys can overturn the scoreline and win the return leg fixture by more than three goals if they are to progress to the first round of the cup.

The Ugandan tactician has blamed poor finishing for costing his team the defeat they suffered at home ground and stressed that this is an area they are working on before going away for the return fixture in Zimbabwe. Timbe said, "We played well but we were let down by poor finishing.Had we converted some of our chances, the results would have been different. As much as we have lost at home, we can still pick ourselves and win away to go into the next stage of the competition. We also had  a challenge at the back and we intend to fix it ahead of the reverse fixture."

The Zimbabwe local based club take with them a vital away victory to this fixture.Their first goal was scored by Brian Muzondiwa in the 25th minute.Sofapaka were level early on in the second half but Fiston Rizak, much to the disapointment of many Sofapaka fans hit the nail on  the coffin and put his team on the driving seat in the cup competition before the return leg when he hit the winning goal in 77th minute making the scoreline 2-1 in favor of Platinum.

  2. Anything is possible in football.Sofapaka have a really hard task but as long as the ball is round and there are 90 minutes of play anything is possible
